If I could live on a little island and pick the people that I want to live on that island with me Jemma and Dan would for sure be there. When I think of what I want my kids to grow up like I think of Jemma. I got to know Jemma in nursing school at UofA and although we haven't been able to live in the same place since, Jesse and I have always enjoyed every visit that we've had with Jemma and Dan. I'm still hoping that one day they will join us overseas.
Anyway, on our last visit we had the privilege of catching some pregnancy photos and can't wait to get some photos of this new little baby sometime in August.

Heather & James got married May 1st. Its taken me a while to post these but I hope they were worth the wait. Jesse and I enjoyed spending the day with Heather & James and were so glad that the forecasted rain held off long enough for some beautiful outdoor photos. Here they are...

Family Fun Day

Yesterday Jesse had a flex day so we were able to spend some quality time together as a family. We had a great day doing some errands, hiking at Thetis Lake, visiting our friend Katrina at her cafe and building sand castles on the beach. It was such a blessing to spend a day like that with the family.

We had the wonderful privilege of having our good friends Leighton and Sara from Winnipeg visit us over the Easter week-end. They brought their son Jayden and daughter Karis. The weather was the worst its been in weeks including cold, rain, and winds so strong that it knocked our power out for almost 20 hours. But despite the weather these guys were troopers and we did everything from hiking to waterfalls to feeding seals. We had a great time. Here are some pictures:

These guys rock! When I went to Illinois to photograph Zach & Stephanie's wedding I agreed to do it mostly because it meant that I got to spend time with my sister Trisha, her husband Chris, and their kids Jada, and Jordan. They are a family that I admire! Their love for each other and their heart to serve God by serving His people always inspires me.

I recently travelled to Illinois to photograph a wedding and also visit my sister Trisha and her fantastic family. We (my son Isaac and I) had a great time on our much-too-short trip. Here are some pictures of Zach and Stephanie's wedding. Although the day was rainy and cold the wedding was beautiful. The couple was fun and relaxed and according to their pastor, family, and friends they are people I would have to get to know if I only lived a little closer.

The Fullers...

We just took a trip to Portland (Jesse's hometown). It was bittersweet. The bitter part - we went to say good-bye to Jesse's mom who is moving to Minneapolis for a job. We're so proud of her but will miss having her close by. Our kids love her to bits and have enjoyed being able to see "Daddy Grandma" on a semi-regular basis. The sweet part - we got to spend some good time with family and friends including Rich and Mel and their beautiful new baby Liana. Rich also designed our logo by the way.

The sun was out in full force today. It always inspires me to take out my camera. Our kids had fun playing with their friends and here are some of the photos. I'm going to go enjoy some more sun with the family. Jesse is just about home and the kids are ready to get outside again.

Thanksgiving Weddings

We had a busy Thanksgiving week-end with two weddings. Jesse and I went out to one in Youbou, BC and Katrina and Heather did one just outside of Victoria for us. Jesse and I had four hours to just hang out with Erica and Rob in Youbou. It was beautiful. They were willing to try anything we asked them to and that, coupled with some beautiful fall scenery made for some fantastic shots. Katrina and Heather had a fun time with Nikki and Bob at an intimate family wedding at a private estate right on the water. A big Congratulations to both couples. Here are some of the outcomes....

Here are some more photos from our photoshoot with Jamie. For those of you who haven't heard of the Trashing the Dress tradition, you're not alone - I just heard about it once I moved out to Victoria. Apparently a couple weeks after the wedding, before the dress drycleaning, the bride (and sometimes the groom) will have a second photoshoot where they are less inhibited than on the wedding day. Very fun - makes for some great pictures. Jamie was such a good sport. Thanks again Jamie.

Our friends Chris and KarieAnn are out on the Island from Alberta. We had a great visit with them and were able to capture some fun moments with their family. My first photo shoot with a family that has three kids between 1year and 3years old (Kalum is under 3 years old and the twins, Maddox and Allie, are just over 1 year old) . A beautiful fun family!
